About Us

Action for Social Equity (ASEU) is a local and not for profit development organization in Uganda focusing on addressing systemic inequalities. ASEU ensures that everyone has the same opportunities to participate fully in society, to overcome vulnerability by providing resources and support to individuals and groups who face barriers due to socioeconomic status, gender and poverty. ASEU recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth.

ASEU was registered in 2017 with a focus on helping vulnerable communities achieve their full potential. ASEU aims to build resilience and support socio-economic development. ASEU uses an innovative direct implementation approach and partnerships with communities, national and international civil society organisations, the private sector, local government, and development partners to achieve its mission. We put the people we serve at the centre of our program design and take a holistic, long-term development approach to our work.
